JJ Harrison didn’t start his foray into rodeo until he was a senior in high school, which is considered fairly late in the rodeo world. Not only did he hide his bull riding from his parents until one of his friends unknowingly gave him up, he admitted that he was in it more for the girls than his love of climbing aboard 2,000 pound bovines.
And the whole “rodeo clown” thing, well, he just kind of stumbled into that.
Ten plus years later, JJ has been privileged to entertain crowds at some of the biggest venues in the business, including Sisters, Oregon, Ellensburg, the Reno Rodeo, and in 2012 he reached the pinnacle of his career when he was invited to work the National Finals Rodeo.
He has a small bag of tricks, but he knows how to use them. If you have ever seen JJ perform, you know that it’s a guessing game to know what he might decide to do next. But it’s his improvisational style of comedy that makes his fans fall in love with him night after night.
